Provides assistance with direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Age-Related Competencies: Infant (28 days-1 year), Child (1-12 years), Adolescent (13-18 years), Adult (18-64 years), Geriatric (65 years-death).

Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to respond to specific issues and data reflective of patient's status. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide for the primary population of patients served in the department.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of any certified Nursing Assistant program but not certified yet (or a student in an accredited nursing program AND completion of semester 1 or module 2).



• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year of Acute care experience.
