Well, I was a teeny bit ahead when I sent a blog to all my subscribers thanking them for reading my blogs.
I also thanked them for being informed about mental illness through my efforts.
This was especially joyful to me for several reasons: (1) I never pay attention to the number of subscriptions so I was over-joyed to see how many people have subscribed, (2) Learning that the information I share really is "interesting" to many people means that a seed was/is layed in each person who read the information. That is how we take the first step to help ourselves and others in any area of life, and (3) Im encouraged to continue my effort to increase literacy about mental illness treatment.
Another reason I am thankful for thanking others is that I have received many responses that people are supporting my exclusively-published blogazine, Swaggie's Voice.:) Had I not been in this group, I would not have reached out that way because I really am shy...teehee.
Last thing: I am always sending "Thank You" notecards to people. My mother raised me that way. She was always sending notes to people and I realized that this summer when I cleaned her room for her (she has early Alzheimers) and found maybe hundreds of packs of note cards. I was instantly reminded of how she was always writing to friends and strangers. It is embredded in me. In my spiritual walk, it is like paying it forward. So, don't ever be surprised if a little note falls into your mailbox:)
